Teacher Appreciation Week 2024 – American Board Blog

May 6-10 is Teacher Appreciation Week 2024! A week devoted to giving a big “thank you” to the amazing teachers who help shape the futures of our little ones. Teachers work tirelessly, often going above and beyond, to ensure every student finds their path to success.

At American Board / ABCTE, we have one goal: we want to help local community members transition to a career in teaching. But these teachers are the reason we are able to do what we do. American Board teachers are consistently some of the best in their schools. And when they are successful, we all succeed.

Parents: Celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week 2024

This week, try pausing to show some love for the teachers in your life. A simple thank you note, a shout-out on social media, or even just a kind word can make a big difference. If you’d like to go above and beyond, as teachers so often do, consider the following.

  • Deliver sweet treats like donuts to the teachers’ lounge.
  • Give a coffee shop gift card so the caffeine can get your child’s teacher through the late evenings grading.
  • Surprise your teachers with some needed classroom supplies. Craft supplies and board books are often great for younger grades. Notepads and expo markers are nice for older grades. Lastly, cleaning supplies like all-purpose wipes and antibacterial gel are always wins. Hand lotion also comes in handy!

Teachers: We Celebrate You

To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week 2024, American Board will be using our social media pages like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to highlight some of our favorite qualities about teachers. After all, you are the heart and soul of what we at American Board do! Check in each day for updates.

Additionally, we’ve been using our YouTube page to spotlight the teaching profession, directly from our graduates’ experiences. Visit the page weekly over the next month to hear what teachers say they are most proud of this year.
